Head North to the Largest St. Patrick’s Celebration West of the Mississippi River

This year marks San Francisco’s 166th annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration, the largest of its kind in the western half of the United States.  With attendance usually exceeding 100,000, the city takes St. Patrick’s Day seriously.  The events on March 11 will include an Irish themed parade downtown at 11:30am with children’s rides, cultural celebrations, live entertainment, and plenty of food and drink at Civic Center Plaza and around Grove St until 5pm.  If you are planning a Northern California road trip in your California motorhome rentals, and the Bay Area is on your list, do yourself a favor and schedule your itinerary around this festive celebration.

Prepare to Party down South at San Diego’s Shamrock Festival

On March 17th, just a few hours south of where you will pick up your California motorhome rentals at 1st Choice RV, is San Diego’s famed Gaslamp Quarter and the annual ShamROCK block party.  This 21+ event boasts live Irish music of all persuasions, DJs, delicious Irish food, and plenty of green beer and whiskey to go around.   By the time the celebrations wind down at midnight you’ll be totally wrapped up in the Irish spirit!

Participate in a Festive Hollywood Pub Crawl with your California motorhome rentals

If you are looking to stick a little bit closer to your RV rental headquarters on St. Patrick’s Day, consider spending the night of March 17th in Hollywood for their all night block party and pub crawl.   Your $18 ticket grants you access to DJs, drink and food specials, and plenty of festive celebrations across many venues around Cahuenga Boulevard in Hollywood.  This celebration is a great way to celebrate, let loose, and channel your inner Irish spirit with festive friends and celebrating strangers alike.
